The Spiritual War Against Children

We are not just talking about perversion of the body but of the soul.

I have pleaded with you before to realize that secular humanists are systematically targeting our children for indoctrination. A recent op-ed titled “Yes, kink belongs at Pride. And I want my kids to see it.” in one of our nation’s most prestigious newspapers, The Washington Post, helps stress the urgency of the call to stand up and fight for your children.

Though The Post makes the headline personal to make the writer Lauren Rowello’s message more palatable, her call is collective. She is pushing community standards. It’s not that she wants her kids to see sexual deviant behavior (she will make sure of that); she wants your kids to see it. That is why she is writing publicly, advocating for the behavior to be kept in full public display of children—again, they are the target.

She is not urging this wickedness for herself or even as the “self-expression” of those involved, but for the great “benefit” of corrupting children’s minds.

To their shame, The Washington Post, gives her a platform to expand her reach. The author writes, “Children who witness kink culture are reassured that alternative experiences of sexuality and expression are valid — no matter who they become as they mature, helping them recognize that their personal experiences aren’t bad or wrong, and that they aren’t alone in their experiences.”

Your child needs this, you see. That is why Pride parades must be celebrated in public on the busiest streets of the most dynamic of towns. And the more sexually deviant behaviors they showcase, the better.

Rowello continues, “Kink visibility is a reminder that any person can and should shamelessly explore what brings joy and excitement. We don’t talk to our children enough about pursuing sex to fulfill carnal needs that delight and captivate us in the moment.”

You might be thinking, who writes such putridity. It’s a good question. However, I do not want you to forget that the author is not the problem. Such authors have always existed. In the past, they were relegated to writing for Hustler or some other foul publication. But not today.

Today, they are given the most prominent platforms on the nation’s largest newspapers because they serve the Left’s cause. This sexual debauchery targeted at children will help destroy our way of life, which is the biggest problem in the world, according to the Left.

Nevertheless, it is illuminating to understand the author’s background. Rowello is a young autistic woman who describes herself today as “gendervague.” Just a year ago, she described herself in another Post op-ed as “a straight woman whose spouse came out as trans.” She is also a former “sex worker” with two “neurodivergent” kids.

You can see that there is a lot of pain there.

But our focus is not on the author’s background, helpful as that is, but on the dangerous impact of the ideas she promotes with The Post’s aid.

All parents must confront the Left’s insistence on the early sexualization of their children. It comes in all forms today— from movies to television shows to music to social media to advertising to cartoons. But this author’s idea of teaching kids that “pursuing sex to fulfill carnal needs that delight and captivate us in the moment,” is by far the most pernicious I have seen.

Do you recognize that as the spiritual attack that it is? We are not just talking about a perversion of the body but of the soul. They seek to enslave our children.

“For freedom Christ has set us free,” wrote Paul, “stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1). “For you were called to freedom, brothers,” he continued, “Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13).

The Scriptures reveal to us the reality of the human condition. It recognizes that unbridled human passions lead not to the service and love of one another but to the debasement of our humanity. Licentiousness brings not liberty but chains.

Please recognize these shackles with which they seek to subjugate our children will not merely destroy their culture; they will ruin their lives. The Left wants to dismantle not only our nation but our souls.

Paul explained it this way, “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do” (Galatians 5:17).

Despite the Left’s cry for “diversity and inclusion,” their venomous ideas keep us from genuinely valuing one another as all created in the image of the living God. As their ideology continues to spread, so does the depression, anxiety, division, and personal and national discontent with ourselves and with one another.

Could we expect anything else when instead of “crucif[ying] the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24), they seek to fertilize the flesh, expanding its passions, while killing the spirit?

No. We reap what we sow. And the longer we stay silent to this spiritual attack, the more we and our children will continue to suffer the consequences.
